Did it.

Today marked my first solo outing, which included a challenging 60-mile drive in my dad’s blazer. Although anxious and overwhelmed at times, supportive texts from a friend helped. I visited a new pulmonary doctor who was encouraging. After a long day, I found relief at home, celebrated with pizza, and appreciated the support.

A Christmas Eve memory.

On Christmas Eve 1985 in Frankfurt, a young American soldier on guard duty experienced a heartwarming moment. A jovial group of German locals, slightly inebriated, offered him a bottle of wine while singing festive wishes. This unexpected gesture transformed his cold, lonely night and left a lasting impression.

Changes.

Yesterday marked the end of my therapy journey with a long-term MST/PTSD therapist who guided me through nearly four years of challenges. I’m moving on to a new therapist and ACT, feeling a mix of gratitude, pride, sadness, and fear about this transition. I reflect on the emotional impact of changing therapists.

Some thoughts on animal rescue non-profits.

Animal rescue non-profits require more than moral support; they need volunteers, donations, and foster homes to survive. Monetary contributions are essential to cover costs for medical care and supplies. Social media sharing can significantly boost awareness and support. Understanding a non-profit’s transparency and financials is crucial before contributing.
