Ode To Halona
Halona, our Calico, bright and bold,
A short, soft coat, like plush of old.
When we stroke her fur, so thick and deep,
A gentle calm, our hearts to keep.
“Happy Fortune,” her name’s sweet sound,
A lucky blessing, we have found.
Sometimes “Halona Bologna,” or “Loney Baloney,”
Our silly whispers, making her hissing.
Left behind, her former home gone,
An outdoor life, from dusk to dawn.
Feral cats, they pushed her aside,
Hungry days, nowhere to hide.
Then rescue found her, safe and warm,
Cleaned and fed, away from storm.
We saw her picture, love took flight,
She came to us, our guiding light.
Years have passed, her age we guess,
But health and beauty, she does possess.
She loves her brush, a happy sigh,
Stop too soon, she’ll give a cry.
Petting’s grand, but hugs? Oh no!
On her terms, she likes to go.
She watches us, a watchful eye,
Our supervisor, passing by.
She grooms herself, so neat and clean,
And Ninja too, a loving scene.
A mother’s touch, so soft and grand,
Across their fur, a gentle hand.
We were the lucky ones, it’s true,
This smart, sweet cat, for me and you.
May past pains fade, like morning dew,
She is our family, through and through.
Not just a pet, but friend so dear,
A comforter, who calms our fear.
Our Halona, a treasure bright,
Our dearest cat, our pure delight.

❤️ THANK YOU FOR VISITING MY BLOG! ❤️

I’m glad she found a loving home. She’s sweet.❤ I also have a cat. His name is Lucek.😅
Awww, thank you. We really love her. Lucek is an interesting name for a kitty. What kind of cat is he?
You know—–you being a “cat guy” just moved you way up on my *Like” scale.
Are you familiar with Mark Twain? My favorite quote by him is: “When a man loves cats, I am his friend and comrade, without further introduction.”
I completely agree with Mr. Twain!
