Welcome to Whisker Words: Caturday Creativity!
If you’ve been following along for a while, you already know that my life is beautifully, wonderfully ruled by a feline overlord. From the quiet peace of a morning purr to the chaotic energy of a midnight zoomie, cats have a way of filling our homes—and our hearts—with endless inspiration.
That is why I am so excited to introduce a brand-new weekly series here on the blog: Whisker Words: Caturday Creativity.
Every Saturday, I’ll be dedicating this space to creative writing inspired by cats.
What to Expect:
I wanted a space that offered ultimate creative freedom, so you won’t just see one type of post here. Depending on the week’s mood, Whisker Words will feature:
Cozy Essays: Reflections on the joys, challenges, and “cat people problems” we all share.
Poetry & Haikus: Short, punchy verses capturing everyday cat quirks.
Feline Flash Fiction: Tiny, imaginative stories (sometimes told from the cat’s perspective!).
To kick things off today, I want to leave you with a quick haiku that perfectly sums up my favorite view in the house:
Morning sun streams in,
Sitting on the window ledge.
Living room lion.

This series isn’t just about my thoughts—I want to hear yours, too! Whether you are a fellow writer or just a devoted cat servant, I want this to be a cozy weekend corner for all of us.
