EASY APPLE BETTY

1 1/2 Cups coarsely crumbled Graham Crackers

3/4 Cups granulated Sugar (divided)

1/2 Cup Butter or Margarine (melted)

1 Teaspoon Cinnamon

4 medium cooking Apples (peeled, cored, thinly sliced

In a bowl, combine crackers, 1/2 Cup of sugar, and butter, toss, set aside. In another bowl, combine remaining sugar and cinnamon, stir.

Grease or spray 8x8x2 baking pan. Alternate layers of apples, sugar mix, and cracker mix.

Cover with foil, bake at 350 F. for 30 minutes, remove foil, bake 15 minutes more.

Serve warm. Great with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream!

  1. Oh Maria! I made this today, and I think I’ve died and gone the heaven! I didn’t tell my husband I was baking, but when he came home from work he smelled the delicious aroma as soon as he walked in the door. He was so excited that he took a picture of it so he could remember it later. We couldn’t wait to dig into it! I believe Adam’s eyes rolled back in his head as he muttered “oh God this is so good” around a huge mouthful. Thank you for sharing your recipe, dear friend.
